Mississippi-Based Physician at Forefront of Spinal Cord Stimulation Research

Pascagoula, MS (September 19, 2014) -- Dr. Thomas L. Yearwood of Comprehensive Pain & Rehabilitation in Biloxi and Pascagoula, a world-renowned thought leader for spinal cord stimulation and treatment of chronic pain, is one of only five physicians in the U.S. meeting with leaders from Boston Scientific as they explore the future of spinal cord stimulators and discuss advances in the treatment of chronic pain.

Boston Science is the largest manufacturer of spinal cord stimulators for use in treating chronic pain in the world.

The president of Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, along with BSN’s vice president of clinical studies, its director of research and development and other top company officials will travel to south Mississippi Sept. 24, 2014, to tour Comprehensive Pain & Rehabilitation’s Pascagoula site which includes an ambulatory surgery center. The will spend the remaining portion of the day meeting with Dr. Yearwood.

YearwoodThumbThrough clinical and regulatory research spanning 25 years, and as a member of the International Neuromodulation Society, Dr. Yearwood has made significant contributions to clinical neuroscience. Some of his most recent research involves wireless technology and its implications for neuromodulation.
