Comprehensive Pain and Rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary organization devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain using an integrated program of interventional pain medicine, behavioral medicine, and functional rehabilitation.  The staff physician, physician assistants, psychologists, nurses, and physical therapists work together to promote functional rehabilitation in each patient. The principal goal of the practice is to enhance the functionality of the patient.

Each interventional effort is performed within the context of on-going functional rehabilitation that incorporates manual therapies, exercise physiology, pool therapy and behavioral medicine. Extensive use is made of electro-medical devices to reduce exposure to oral medications.

Pharmacological Intervention focuses on individually compounded medications, both oral (sustained-release) and topical, to enhance efficacy and minimize untoward effects.

Students and Residents in Neurology, Pain Medicine, Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant training programs rotate through the practice for both didactic and hands-on training.  Emphasis is placed on the comprehensive diagnosis of the chronic pain patient.

This practice seeks to integrate with and complement spine surgeons, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, oncologists, and others involved in the care of patients with chronic pain.
