Dr. Yearwood is a graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, with a BS, MS, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Biomechanics). He is also a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans with Honors. He completed 3 years of Surgical Residency at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle, WA, and an Anesthesiology Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston, TX.
He is board certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology, and in addition has been awarded certification with Special Qualifications in Pain Management. The American Board of Pain Medicine also certifies him in Pain Medicine.
He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of South Alabama, and a Clinical Associate
Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is also on the Board of Clinical Directors for
the National Pain Foundation.
