Dr. Hapworth is a graduate of the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, VA, with a BA in Spanish Language/Literature.  He received his MD degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

He completed an internship in Transitional Medicine at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA.  He then went on to complete a residency in Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  He completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.
